What is the difference between CBD tablets and CBD oil?

CBD or cannabidiol has a wide range of health benefits such as relieving pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and reducing seizures. The benefits of consuming CBD increase due to its non-addictive and non-psychoactive nature. Moreover, it is perfect as a natural alternative form of treatment to many medications and is safe to use. CBD comes in so many different forms, such as edibles, oils, topicals, and vape juices, so there are plenty of options to choose from, which can sometimes be difficult if you are new into the world of CBD products. CBD oil or CBD tablets were the first to hit the markets and are still the most common consumption methods; therefore, they can be a good option for new users.

Differences between CBD oil and CBD tablets

Method of consumption CBD oil

In CBD oil, the CBD extract is suspended in an inert oil such as coconut oil. CBD oil needs to be consumed sublingually, meaning that a few drops have to be placed under the tongue and held for at least 90 seconds to be absorbed into the bloodstream.

CBD tablets

CBD tablets are gel capsules in which the CBD extract is suspended. The CBD extract can be in the form of ground hemp or CBD oil suspended in a gel capsule. Like all other gel capsules, they only need to be swallowed with water to get their desired effects.

Taste

CBD oil

CBD oil has a very raw, grassy, earthy taste that needs getting used to, making it hard for some consumers. Some consumers also dislike the slimy texture of the oil since it can often make them feel sick.

CBD tablets

Since CBD tablets are quickly swallowed along with water, they are tasteless. Therefore, CBD tablets are the better option if you don’t like the taste or texture when consuming CBD oil.

Moreover, it is hard to be discreet in public when taking CBD oil sublingually.

CBD tablets

CBD tablets are incredibly convenient because they are easy to take and are just like any other form of gel capsule.
